Pranidhana is the last of the five Niyamas given by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. It means total surrender to the Divine or God. Whatever feel God or Divinity is from a monotheistic belief or a personal Divine purpose within each of us or collective higher nature of our consciousness the intention is the same – To let go of the individual ego in favor of a higher greater purpose.
This allows us to move beyond our own desires, pain, anger and suffering that constrict us and helps awaken our limitless capacity for love and compassion.
Simply bowing in Child’s Pose for a few moments can be a symbolic gesture that reminds us while we are all beautiful, special and powerful, our love should motivate us do our best to help others realise their power.
