Vasisthasana (Side plank pose)

Vasisthasana (Side plank pose) is always a challenging posture especially first thing in the morning but that’s the very reason I added it to this mornings @yogalifeuk sun salutations.
Strengthening arms, shoulders & core are obvious but by adding (Tree pose) Vrikshasana it challenges your balance & reminds us the need to start the day grounded & secure.
All balance poses are reflections of our unstable nature and how in life we are constantly thrown off balance by any number of life’s challenges. They remind us we can’t control what’s around us by we can control how we react. Staying in balance, being less reactive & feeling more stable are my intentions for the day 🙏🏻
