Yoga can be translated to Yoke or Union meaning the embodiment of mind, body & spirit as a whole. From this very simple definition we create a 5 day journey through the ancient practice of Yoga & use the tools of Ayurvedic Medicinal foods, Asana practice, Pranayama & Meditation to create an experience like no other. We draw on over a decade of experience & deep personal study to bring all our guests a stay of spiritual & personal growth. Our retreats look deeper than the physical aspect of Yoga & therefore we can open up our Yoga Life experience to absolute beginners as well as experienced Yogis & even teachers. Many of our guests travel from all over the UK & book the retreat alone but we promise that you will find life long friends as you leave us. Yoga Life was created from a desire to bring back community, love & acceptance to Yoga teaching and we can assure you our time together will be nothing less than a feeling of being with family. Spending this precious time together in such beautiful surroundings gives opportunity to some very personal & transformational changes to occur. We provide delicious food that nourishes the body from the inside out & provides a foundation for the Yoga practice. Sample Day (all sessions are optional) 6:45-7:15am Morning Kriya (Neti pot, pranayama & meditation) 7:15-8:45am Yoga (15 minute group discussion/lecture followed by a Yoga class) 9:30- 9:30am Food Blessing & Breakfast 11:00 Yoga workshop (philosophy, posture alignment tutorials, history of yoga talk) 12-1pm Power Yoga followed by Workshop The Power Yoga class will be the most dynamic and physical of the day with emphasis on strength and cardio workout. This class is aimed at being a mid day workout to boost energy and focus the mind! The workshop that follows changes each day and will include topics such as posture assessment workshop, massage techniques, activating dormant muscles such as the core and glutes, group discussion on yoga mythology & the sacred science behind the practice, sound & energy healing). 1:30-2:30pm Food Blessing & Lunch 2:30-3:30pm Free time (group discussions will be led by the pool or during a hike through the rolling hills). 4-6pm Yoga (short group discussion/lecture followed by a Yoga class) 6-7pm free time 7-8pm Food blessing & dinner 8:30-9:15pm Yoga Nidra & acupressure/energy healing 9:15pm Free time & bed ** Paddle board yoga and beach yoga will take place on one of the afternoons.
