If this sounds like you, by performing shitali breath (or more commonly known as wim hoff breath) you will regulate your hormones, lower cortisol (the stress hormone), and if you’re feeling tired and lethargic it will pick the body’s energy up.
This practice is also beneficial if you’re feeling like you’re going into a tailspin and your energy/concentration is a bit hectic as it will level your hormones and breathing pattern so you feel calmer and more focused.
Once the mind feels more neutral this is when you meditate. Start by just focusing the mind and trying to think of nothing at all. Just focus on your breath without trying to control it. Observe the breath for a few movements, then slowly bring the mind to the visualisation of your perfect day. If you meditated in the morning, go back to those goals and thoughts to reaffirm them, then as you open your eyes, all balanced, focused and calm, you take on the rest of the day like a well oiled machine!
