“You do NOT have to be an acrobat to become an amazing yoga teacher! An open heart, desire to learn & willingness to share your knowledge with others are much more important attributes.”

Stuart Pilkington (course leader)

First and foremost, this course is for you! This experience will inspire you to share your knowledge with others be that family, friends or your students should you choose to become a teacher by profession.

After completing the course you will be able to register with the Yoga Alliance and lead yoga classes, workshops, retreats, and private clients. You’ll also pick up some skills that will help you in all aspects of your life – confidence, presentation, observation, journaling. Even if you decide never to teach yoga by profession, you will bound off the training and back into your life with a glistening new intent to live it to the fullest.

Our graduates have opened their own studios, become brand ambassadors, direct their own yoga teacher training companies and have disappeared off in various directions around the world to spread their wings.

We are not a studio that believes you must be able to do the splits, handstands, be of a certain body shape or age, to be an incredibly powerful and impactful teacher. Yoga is for everyone and it needs to be accessed by everyone. That’s why we look for a diverse collection of trainee teachers who are able to connect with a diverse range of people.

Study Time
  • 50 non-contact hours to immerse yourself in self-study and assignments
  • Led study-sessions with discussion groups and Satsang
  • Dedicated time to practise, and to give each other kind and encouraging feedback
  • Comprehensive course manual, plus suggested and essential reading

A note about your homework – it won’t be a 5,000 word essay, it’s fun, practical and easy to fit into your already busy life!

Accreditation

LETTERS after your name?

You’ll be an RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) on successful completion of the 200-hour course with Yogalife Academy, and be accredited as an international 200 hour yoga teacher – an impressive accolade, and one that you can be extremely proud of. Our School is registered with Yoga Alliance so you can go ahead and register with them should you wish to (ask us if you want to know more about them).

Mentoring

Once the formal training ends, you’re not on your own. The Yogalife Academy is a giant, supportive family that will help guide your next step. Once you have qualified with the Academy, you will be invited back to regular workshops, trainings and community events – all for free.

We also offer additional mentoring sessions that some find are a good way to get your yoga teaching off the ground. Everyone is different, so for some people, these sessions are about gaining confidence in the classroom; some benefit from practicing assists in their mentor’s classes, and some might need some general guidance on the practicalities and nuances of carving their career as a yoga teacher.
