- Explore the orthodox schools, how the book is structured, how the Sutras define yoga, and who Patanjali is.
- Atha Yoga Anushasanam: Arguably the most important sutra. We get the opportunity to understand the prescribed relationships of the Vedas, and its significance to a student of yoga.
- Develop an understanding of the paths offered by Patanjali, in the Sutras, to overcome the obstacles to clarity
Tips for online classes
Here are some tips of how to get the most from the class.
Get the zoom app: search for zoom webinar or app on your laptop, tablet or mobile device. Download and create a free account.
Display your name: We need to check you in online so please make sure your zoom display name matches the one we have on file. Please do not share the link with anyone else as this could stop others being able to view the class.
Create your space: Make sure you have enough space to move your body, clear away anything that might get in your way, maybe even silence your phone and close the door so you have some time and space to yourself. If you’re training in the Fitness 30 class, trainers might be a good addition. If you’re joining us for yoga, then maybe light some candles, dim the lights and add your favourite oil to a diffuser.
Be an early bird: Get to class on time. You don’t want to miss out, click the link and join the class 5 minutes before the start time. You will see “waiting for host”, all you need to do is wait for the class to begin.
Silence is bliss: Please keep your microphone on mute. All classes will start with everyone’s microphone turned off. Please make sure you don’t turn yours back on as this interrupts the experience for others. Once the class ends we would love to hear from you so please say hi.
Now we see you: You can turn your video on or off, it’s up to you. If you would prefer to practice without being seen then simply click your video button to off.
We love tunes: Some of our team will use music for their class. The link to their playlist will be posted in the class description. Where possible, play the music through a separate device.
Stay connected: We love connecting with our Yogalife community. YOU ARE YOGALIFE and we would love to hear your feedback.
Share the love: The best way that you can support Yogalife is to share your classes on Facebook & Instagram. You can do this by sharing screen snaps and pictures and tag @yogalifeuk #weareyogalife and rate us on Facebook too.
Are you ready to move? When registering online you would have read and ticked our disclaimer and recommendations. We know that sometimes you can forget what these are so please take the time to review this information again by clicking the link below.
If you’re unsure if the class is not right for you then stop and consult a physician. By Joining the class you take full responsibility for your own actions and body. Yogalife accepts no responsibility.
